From her school books (in England) it was clear that Cheryl Lloyd showed an early love of drawing. However, other than time in a MilitaryTechnical Drawing office, none of her careers in the Royal Air Force, University Project offices, and in the field of Environmental Science tapped into any artistic leanings. Finally, in 2012, upon moving to the USA, the stars aligned, and she discovered the joy of oil painting, and started to hone her skills.

Portraits, the military, animal, bird and pet subjects are among Cheryl's favorites, and her work has been accepted into numerous local, regional and international selective shows and galleries. Cheryl is a member of Dayton Society of Artists and proud to be a Resident Artist in Olde Masters Galleria.

As ex-military, Cheryl recognizes the need for adaptability and resiliency, and loves the energy and resurgence of her new found home in Dayton OH, where she is now working as a private art teacher/instructor and commission painter.
