Brenda K. Stearns is a new artist who relocated back to Ohio after living ten years in Juneau Alaska. She moved to Juneau to interpret for the deaf. After exploring the vast wilderness she began her passion of photography and painting. "Coming off the ferry, I was totally overwhelmed by the scenes to paint. When I paint, I often have in mind a person I love, an awe of God's creation, or the feeling of adventure. I grew up watching my mother, who was an artist, sketch seascapes from the sand dunes at Cape Cod. In 1995 I returned to the Cape and began painting my own watercolor expressions of the sea.
While living in Juneau the beauty was breathtaking. I was blessed to have many exhibits of my art as well as a gallery that sold my prints. Without words - art has the ability to calm, restore, inspire and motivate its viewers - it's a gift from God."
Olde Masters Galleria is pleased to have several of Brenda's prints on display - available for purchase.
